Does EgyptAir Baggage Allowance Depend on the Route?

Yes, the baggage allowance differs on domestic routes and international routes. Take a look at the details. 

For Domestic Travel:

• Business class - Passengers are allowed to check one piece of baggage with a maximum weight of 32 kg. They can carry two as hand luggage with a weight of 8 kg each.  

• Economy class - They are permitted one piece of checked baggage and cabin baggage with a maximum weight of 23 kg and 8 kg. 

For International Travel:

1. Business class - The maximum weight of each checked baggage should not exceed 32 kg and the passenger is allowed to check two pieces in the aircraft’s hold. EgyptAir carry on policy allows passengers to carry 2 pieces of handbags with a maximum weight of 8 kg each.  

2. Economy class - Passengers can check one piece of baggage weighing 23 kg and carry one piece of maximum 8kg with them.

When will I be Asked to Pay for EgyptAir Baggage?

If your luggage exceeds the allowed baggage limit, you will need to pay for it. For overweight and oversized bags, the fees will be double the standard charges. EgyptAir Plus Cardholders in the Gold, Elite, and Platinum tiers are permitted to bring one additional piece of baggage beyond the regular cabin allowance. Below is a detailed breakdown of the EgyptAir baggage fees.

• For passengers flying out of an airport in USA & Canada.

• To Europe - $230 for checked baggage of up to 23 kg.

• To Middle East - $230 for checked baggage of up to 23 kg.

• For passengers flying out of an airport in Europe.

• To US & Canada - $220 for checked baggage of up to 23 kg.

• To the Middle East -   $170 for checked baggage of up to 23 kg.
